How it works
English scripts are counted in words at 150 words per minute, a calm on-camera pace. Chinese, Japanese and Korean are counted in characters at 250 characters per minute. Slow uses 0.8x and Fast 1.2x of that rate. The same formula checks the length of AI spoken rewrites, so a script rewritten for 60 seconds lands within about 15% of a minute here. The recommended speed is the steady scroll speed that moves your script past the reading band in that time.
