Teleprompter for YouTube Videos

Paste your script, set it just under your webcam and talk to your viewers instead of your notes.

Facts

What to know before you film

In Chrome, each take is saved as a WebM file.

Our converter turns a WebM up to 40 MB into MP4 on our server, then deletes it.

Flow

From take to upload

  1. Film your take

Read from the scrolling script and stop when you're done. Not happy? Start another take.

  2. Pick your best take

Your takes are kept in Video history in this browser on this device. Choose one and download it as a WebM file. In a private window, download each take right after recording.

  3. Convert to MP4

If your editor or upload tool prefers MP4, run the file through the converter first.

Tips

Tips for a natural delivery

  1. Write the way you talk: short sentences, one idea each.
  2. Keep the text narrow so your eyes barely move.
  3. Leave a blank line where you want to pause or cut.
  4. Set the speed slightly slower than feels right; you can speed up on the next take.

FAQ

Can I upload straight to YouTube from here?

No. Download your take, then upload it in YouTube Studio as you normally would.

Is there a size limit for converting?

Yes. The converter takes one file at a time, up to 40 MB.
